Nate Bunger Ferrari ScottsdaleAs I look back over the past year, I look in amazement as I see all that I have accomplished.

It has been a period of massive transformation on nearly all levels, to the point where I don’t even feel like the same person anymore.

I have come to realize so many things about myself, my purpose and even more recently the roles I tend to play in my personal relationships. A humbling experience to say the least.

Getting here was indeed a journey and at times took some serious letting go of beliefs that weren’t serving me.

Achieving life goals (or personal New Years resolutions) is far from a perfect process. And there are many times, sometimes daily, when I would stray from my path.

But by hanging on (sometimes what seemed by a thread) to the commitment I made to stay true to myself, I am now experiencing a period in my life in which I truly feel happy.

And although the path of life continues to unfold in front of me, I have come to honor, whole heartedly the promises I make to myself. And it’s because of this, that I am where I am at this moment.

So with that, I want to share with you some tips and mindsets that I’ve used over the past few years to make my New Years resolutions, and more specifically my current dreams a reality.

Understand That New Years Is Not A Sacred Day

As you wake up on New Years day, realize it’s just a day like all others. And like all days, at any moment you have the potential to change. [Keep Reading!->…]

Nate Bunger In Panama

Nate Bunger working in a grass hut in the Panama Jungle

The salty sea breeze blows gently off the Pacific ocean as I sit in a grass hut seconds from the beach in Venao, Panama. (A 7 hour bus ride to the border of Costa Rica.)

The smell of the lush jungle behind me and fresh brewed coffee from the little bar waft in the air.

I take a deep breathe and take in the amazing feeling of life.

The cost for this paradise experience of which I am becoming so accustomed?

$11 per night…. [Keep Reading!->…]

View From My Bed

View From My Bed

My eyes opened slowly.

I focused them on the clock….7:00 exactly.

It’s very strange, but every morning I seem to wake within 1 or 2 minutes of this time. Without an alarm, without help. I just seem to come alive at precisely 7am.

Sometimes I go back to sleep if I still feel a little tired. I try to respect my 8 hours of sleep knowing that I will be my optimal self when I am well rested.

But today I have slept perfect and I sit-up halfway in bed and look out the large window in front of me to see the beautiful city out of my two story loft apartment.

I’ve always wanted a loft. [Keep Reading!->…]

I was browsing the website Ted lastnight http://www.Ted.com and came across this video.

This is the first time I have heard of Gary Vaynerchuk but his message really struck a chord with me.

This is one of the best talks I have ever seen on stepping into your passion and doing what you love regardless of what other people think. (It was made in 2008, but the message is timeless) [Keep Reading!->…]

Fear is like a cobra.

Cobra’s are deadly, and a single bite from one can kill you in minutes.

But we’ve all seen snake charmers who can hypnotize these snake using music and movement.

The snake charmer plays a special instrument, waving it back and forth, and in an instant, the deadly snake becomes harmless.

It’s actually not the sound that hypnotizes the snakes, because snakes don’t have ears, but the vibrations and the movement of the flute. [Keep Reading!->…]

MegaStagePolaroidWhen I was younger I used to dream how my life was going to be.

Summer months, I would sit on the porch at my moms house with my cousin, (we were like brothers) and we would sit and talk about all the amazing experiences we were going to have one day.

I knew somehow even back then that my life wasn’t going to be a normal.

A bless or a curse, I don’t know, but I knew I was different.

I could see all around me that most people weren’t happy and I remember very vividly making a decision, that no matter what, I was going to create an incredible life.

I would even talk to my friends and use analogies they could understand. I suppose in a way so that I could understand as well.

I would say things like,

“Man, if you only had one chance to play a video game, wouldn’t you try to get all the points you could?”

It made sense to me, and I would think about life in this way. [Keep Reading!->…]

How To Create A Snowball Effect With Your Goals

Creating attainable smalls goals is the key to giving yourself a sense of momentum that empowers you to keep going towards your big goals.

The problem behind setting goals that are too big and far off in the future, is that we tend to get frustrated and give up.

On the flip side, most people never set any goals, let alone take action towards them.
